The World Economic Forum will host the 4IR for the Earth: Sprint to 2020 event on September 12-13th 2018 in San Francisco to showcase how new technologies are supporting enhanced climate action. It will take place in affiliation with the Global Climate Action Summit bringing together leaders from the international business community, civil society, academia, and government to mobilize climate action through 4IR applications.

The technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution offer new tools for enabling better stewardship of the Earth. The Fourth Industrial Revolution for the Earth event is a two-day programme of thematic sessions that will explore the role of technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, biotechnologies, advanced sensors, and advanced materials, in helping to solve some of the world’s biggest environmental challenges.

The event will be hosted at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which was established with the vision to help shape the development and application of emerging technologies for the benefit of humanity. Join us at the 4IR for the Earth: Sprint to 2020 to build unconventional partnerships and chart a course that can deliver these innovative solutions in the next 24 months.
