Safety and Security Policy

The Global Climate Action Summit is committed to creating a safe, sustainable, and friendly experience for all guests. Our staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where all guests can enjoy the Summit experience, free from disruptive behavior, including the following:

  • Disruptive, abusive, or derogatory language or obscene gestures
  • Intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol or drug consumption
  • Use of marijuana or tobacco products, in any form including electronic cigarettes
  • Obscene or indecent conduct or clothing not appropriate in a public place
  • Any disruption of the event, including throwing of objects or trespassing on stages or in other restricted areas
  • Sitting in or entering a location outside designated credential access point
  • Fighting, taunting, or making threatening remarks or gestures

Any guest not adhering to the above code or behaving in an unruly manner may be asked to leave and escorted from the event and subject to further action by Law Enforcement officials. The Global Climate Action Summit and their affiliates reserve the right to determine behavior warranting removal.

For everyone’s safety, the following items are prohibited:

  • Bags larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ (Backpacks will be turned away as will bags which meet the size requirements but are “rigid” or “solid” in nature)
  • Pets (excluding service animals)
  • Professional-style camera lenses or tripods (unless you have been credentialed as a member of the media or approved by Global Climate Action Summit communications staff)
  • Selfie sticks, flag/sign poles or any object longer than 36″
  • Weapons (to include small pocket knives, kubotans or self-defense sprays)
  • Alcohol, glass containers or outside beverages
  • Drones
  • Noisemakers or laser pointers
  • Fireworks and flammable liquids
  • Inflatable items
  • Skateboards, rollerblades or hover boards
  • No umbrellas
  • No outside signs, banners or “flags” of any kind
  • Items not listed here but determined to be a risk to the safety or enjoyment of attendees by the event management shall be refused entry
  • List of prohibited Items subject to change without notice.

Upon arrival to the event, each guest must go through a security screening, including passing through a magnetometer, having only the following items will make your experience much quicker and more pleasant:  Credential, Phones and small cameras, a small bag with only what is immediately needed (grooming items or prescription medications or other required medical supplies)
